A Passion becomes a Career A major part of growing up is finding where you belong in the world. Let me tell you a story of how my father made a decision that greatly changed his life. While in college he started down a path, a path he didn’t follow for he found the career that became his profession. Everyone has a purpose in their life and if you follow your passions you can live a happy and fulfilling life doing something you love. Even if you amass great fame and fortune, but you’re not happy with what you’re doing with your life then you have failed yourself. If you live doing what you love you’ll never feel like you’ve worked a day in your life. Find your place in the world. Some believe higher education is the path to travel after high school. My father’s destiny to his parents was to go to college and further his education. This was my grandparents wished for him. He went to college in Shippensburg, PA and started off enjoying his time at school. He first thought he wanted to study accounting and book keeping for numbers interested him. An interest from before college carried into his time at college, he spent much of his free time at the volunteer fire station. Before college he spent his days fighting fires at his local station, Station 30 in Pembroke, Pennsylvania. Between classes at college he spent his time at a more local station, Company 52, the station right near his college.
